CAPTAINS REPORT JULY 2010

Sadly we lost Dave Barton this month. Our thoughts are with Angie and her family and we are all here to help them in any way we can.I have sent a card expressing our sympathiesfrom all the ladies.

After some welcome rain the greens seem to be picking up nicely.

Barbara and Ruth are still battling in the Lady Vets KO. Keep it up girls and well done for getting this far.Ely did well in the SW CHAMPIONSHIPS, getting through to the quarter finals where she lost to the captain of the Somerset County team. Well done Ely.

Sylvia Caunter is standing in for Sue Griffiths as secretary while is away , so thank you.

Our next big event is the Individual Open on 31st July. We have 39 entries so far so we can go ahead as planned.

It seems to have been a busy month but with not too much to report but I know that a lot of good golf has been played and that handicaps are dropping nicely .
